Born on 4th January 1984, Manpreet Singh Gony is an Indian cricketer. He plays for Punjab in the domestic cricket. He also plays in the Indian Premier League.
He is a right-arm medium pace bowler.

Manpreet Gony was among the few cricketers who made a big impression in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008. The Punjab fast bowler impressed with his pace, bounce and consistency while playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural IPL season.
After that, he was called up to the Indian one-day team. However, he was unable maintain his rhythm at the international level. Injuries dented the progress of this pacer. However, things seem to be falling into place once again for him; he was Punjab’s leading wicket-taker in Ranji Trophy during the 2011-12 season.
He played for Chennai Super Kings till 2010 season. He was signed by the Deccan Chargers at the IPL Player Auction 2011.
Then in IPL 2012 he was bought by the Kings XI Punjab team. He played only 6 matches in the 2012 season and took just 3 wickets.
Lets hope that he can perform well in the IPL 2013 season and can help his team Kings XI Punjab to perform well.
