Wankhede Stadium - Mumbai

The Wankhede Stadium is one of the venues for the IPL 2014. The stadium is located in Mumbai.

The ground is owned and operated by Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

It is the home of the Mumbai cricket team and the Indian Premier League’s Mumbai Indians (MI) team, as well as being a venue for Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International matches.

The ground has a capacity of 45,000 spectators.

Established in 1974, the first match was played at this stadium in 1975 between India and West Indies.

The stadium was recently renovated in the build up to host the 2011 Cricket World Cup Final, in which India defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.
