In the Match 23 of season 6 of the Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2013), Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indian in their home ground in Jaipur by a big victory margin.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 87 runs.

Having won the toss, Rajasthan Royals (RR) elected to bat first and thanks to brilliant innings from Ajinkya Rahane of 68 runs from 54 runs Rajasthan Royals reached a score of 179/3 in 20 overs.

For Mumbai Indians Brad Hodge and Harbhajan Singh took one wicket each.

In Reply, Mumbai Indians lost both their openers Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting cheaply and could never recover from than and were bowled out for 92 runs in 19.2 overs. Dinesh Karthik was the highest scorer who made 30 of 32 balls, Ambati Rayudu scored 27 runs of 29 balls and Mitchell Jhonson made 11 runs. None of the remaining eight batsman even scored in double digits.

For Rajasthan Royals, James Faulkner took three wickets, Stuart Binny and Ajit Chandila took two wickets each while Siddharth Trivedi and Kevon Cooper took one wicket each.
