RCB vs PWI IPL 2013 Match 31 Result : Bangalore beat Pune by 130 Runs

In the Match 31 of season 6 of the Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2013), playing at home, Royal Challengers Bangalore crushed Pune Warriors India as Chris Gayle rewrote IPL record books.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Pune Warriors India (PWI) by 130 Runs.

Having won the toss, Pune Warriors India elected to field first to take advantage of the weather conditions  but this decision proved so very wrong as Royal Challengers Bangalore scored the highest total of IPL history scoring 263/5 in 20 overs as Chris Gayle broke records scoring unbeaten 175 runs in just 66 balls.

Chris Gayle broke the record of fastest century scoring 100 in just 30 balls and did not stop there he scored the highest individual score in IPL history. In his innings he hit 17 massive sixes, making it a nightmare for bowlers.

For Pune Warriors India, Ashok Dinda took two wickets while Mitchell Marsh and Luke Wright took one wicket each.

In Reply, chasing this highest total in IPL history, Pune Warriors India kept loosing wickets and were restricted to 133/9 in 20 overs. Steven Smith was the highest scorer with 41 runs of 31 balls.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chris Gayle, Jaydev Unadkat and Ravi Rampaul took two wickets while Murali Karthik, RP Singh and Vinay Kumar took one wicket each.

Undoubtedly Chris Gayle was named Man of the Match.
