Born on 31st December 1984, Roelof Erasmus van der Merwe is a South African cricketer who has represented South Africa in T20 and ODI’s. In domestic cricket he plays for Titans and he also plays for the Indian Premier League.

He is a right-hand middle order batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He is also a great fielder.

He played the IPL 2009 and 2010 seasons for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. In the players auction for IPL 2011 he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils team for US $50,000 and since then he is playing in IPL for the Delhi Daredevils team.

In his IPL career so far he has played 18 IPL matches in which he has taken 18 wickets and has scored 137 runs with the bat.

Once again he will be playing for the Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2013.
