In the Match 45 of season 6 of the Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2013), playing at their home ground in Chennai, Chennai Super Kings defeated Kings XI Punjab.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 15 Runs.

Having won the toss, Chennai Super Kings elected to bat first and put on board a total of 186/4 in 20 overs. Suresh Raina scored a brilliant century scoring unbeaten 100 runs in 53 balls.

For Kings XI Punjab Parvinder Ahwana took two wickets while Piyush Chawla took one wicket each.

In reply, Kings XI Punjab played well till the end but unfortunately failed to win the match thanks to brilliant last over by Dwayne Bravo in which they just game away three runs and took three wickets. For Punjab, Shaun Marsh scored 73 runs of 51 balls and David Miller scored 51 runs of 26 balls.

For Chennai Super Kings, Dwayne Bravo took three wickets, Mohit Sharma took two wickets while R Ashwin took one wicket.
