Born on 27th June 1980, Kevin Pietersen is a South African-born English cricketer who plays for England in ODI’s and test matches. In the domestic cricket he plays for Surrey. He also plays in the Indian Premier League.
Pietersen is a right-handed batsman and occasional off spin bowler. Actually he started off as an off-spinner who could bat a bit. However, he soon discovered his abilities with the bat.

Pietersen was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore during IPL 2009 and IPL 2010. In the players auction for IPL 2011, he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils for US $650,000 and since then has been playing for the Delhi Daredevils.
In players auction for IPL 2014, he was again bought by Delhi Daredevils, this time for Rs. 9 Crores.
