IPL 2013 Points Table : Pepsi IPL Season 6 Team Standings

Pepsi Indian Premiere (IPL) Season 6 also known as Pepsi IPL 2013 is scheduled to take place from 3rd April 2013 to 26th May 2013.

As soon as the season starts, IPL fans or in general Cricket fans keep a close eye on the IPL Points Table as this points table in the end decides the teams which proceed to the play-offs.

Let us try to understand how these points are awarded in the IPL league matches. For each win, the team is awarded two points and if a game is terminated due to unplayable conditions or the acts of God each of the two playing teams are awarded one point each.

The beauty about T20 cricket is that there is nothing like a draw or tie. If at the end of the game two teams are stranded on the same score they play what is called a ‘super over’. It is basically a one over game where the batting side is allowed to lose a maximum of just two wickets.

Each and every point here matters. At times when teams end up on equal points then the Net Run Rate (NRR) comes into play.

Note : As soon as IPL 2013 season starts, we will have the IPL Season 6 – IPL 2013 Points Table updated with each and every passing game.
