Janardhan is said to be a distant cousin of Sreesanth. Jiju Janardhan started his cricket career by playing for Gandhinagar’s U-21 and U-19 team but later on shifted to Kerala and started playing for Kerala in 2008-09.
In Kerala, Janardhan faired-well and even played for the U-25 squad of the state team.
His high point of the career came when he got to play in Kerala XI vs Hyderabad XI match in September 2009. The medium-pace bowler scored 28 runs in the match. His bowling figures read, 0-26.
It is being alleged that Jiju acted as a bookie for fixing matches way before his name cropped up in the recent IPL spot-fixing controversy.
However, Janardhan career stumbled and moved back to Gandhinagar.
