Today in the 20th Match of IPL 2013, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) off-spinner Sunil Narine took the first-hat-trick on the season against Kings XI Punjab at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.
This ‘mystery spinner’ from the Caribbean took the wickets of David Hussey, Azhar Mahmood and Gurkeerat Singh in his three successive deliveries of his second over to leave KXIP reeling at 99 for six in the 15th over.
This was the 10th hat-trick in the history of IPL so far.

Please find below the details of the three balls bowled and how he got wickets on those balls.
1st Wicket : Australian David Hussey went for the cut but the ball bounced more than expected and he got a thick edge. It went to wicketkeeper Manvinder Bisla, who pouched it on his second attempt.
2nd Wicket : Next ball, Azhar Mahmood offered one of the simplest catches to Narine off his own bowling and the ‘mystery spinner’ accepted it gleefully.
3rd Wicket : The third was a carrom ball. A flat delivery, pitched around the off stump, that drew Gurkeerat Singh forward but spinned past his defence to knock off his off stump.

In the last season of IPL, Sunil Narine had terrorised batsmen across all teams with his unique spin skills. He finished IPL 2012 as the Player of the Tournament with 24 wickets at a miserly 5.47 runs per over.
