SRH vs RR IPL 2013 Match 68 Result : Hyderabad beat Rajasthan by 23 Runs

In the Match 68 of season 6 of the Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2013), playing at their home ground in Hyderabad, SunRisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals.

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 23 Runs.

SunRisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat and on this sluggish wicket lot few early wickets and could never recover from that and posted a total of 136/9 in their 20 overs. Biplap Samantray was the highest scorer with 55 runs of 46 balls.

For Rajasthan Royals, James Faulkner took five wickets, while Shane Watson and Siddharth Trivedi took one wicket each.

With this five wicket haul, James Faulkner became the only player in history of IPL cricket to take two wicket wicket hauls, having taken both the wicket wicket hauls in this season itself.

In reply, Chasing this moderate total, Rajasthan Royals had a decent start but one Rahul Dravid got out, wickets kept falling and at the end Rajasthan Royals reached a score of 113/9 in their 20 overs.

For SunRisers Hyderabad, Dale Steyn, Karan Sharma, Amit Mishra and Thisara Perera took two wickets each.

With this win now, SunRisers Hyderabad have got ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore and look more likely to proceed into IPL 2013 play offs with one more game to play.

Biplap Samantray was named Man of the Match for his brilliant batting effort.
