In the third match of the Pepsi IPL 2013, the SunRisers Hyderabad defeated Pune Warriors Indian in their debut IPL match.
SunRisers Hyderabad beat Pune Warriors Indian by 22 runs.
Having won the toss, Pune Warriors Indian elected to field first. SunRisers Hyderabad managed to post a score of 126/6 in their 20 over. For SunRisers, Thisara Perera scored 30 runs from 18 balls, Akshath Reddy scored 27 runs of 30 balls and Parthiv Patel scored 19 runs of 18 balls.
For Pune Warriors, Ashok Sinda took 2 wickets while Marlon Samuels, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rahul Sharma and Yuvraj Singh took one wicket each

In reply, Pune Warriors India started their innings at a slow rate and lost few wickets and were 48/3 at the end of 10 overs. They could never recover and kept loosing wickets at regular intervals and got bowled out for 104 in 18.5 overs.
Robin Uthappa was the highest scorer for Pune having scored 24 runs of 22 balls. Ross Taylor and Abhishek Nayar scored 19 runs each. However key player of the team Yuvraj Singh got out just for 2 runs.
For SunRisers Hyderabad Amit Mishra and Dale Styne took three wickets each while Thirsara Perara took two wicket and Ashish Reddy Took one wicket.
