SRK has an unending relationship with cricket and he certainly knows how to benefit from it.

This is not the first time that the actor is trying to cash in from the IPL T20 popularity. Last year too, he kept a surprise for his fans during the last match of the IPL season sixth. Reports were that the actor wanted to release the trailer of his blockbuster film “Chennai Express”. But much to the disappointment of fans, the makers did not release the trailer last year. However, a 31-second first look promo video of his film was revealed.

In 2011, the actor revealed the 10-second teaser and 30-second teaser of his sci-fi film “Ra. One” during the Pakistan-West Indies and India-Australia matches.

Meanwhile, the promotion of “HNY” will kick start if the trailer is released during the opening match which is being held in the UAE.

“Happy New Year” is directed by Farah Khan and produced under Red Chillies Banner.

Apart from SRK, the film also casts Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in important roles. The film is set for Diwali release this year.
