Today BCCI announced the schedule of the second phase of IPL 2014 according to which the season 7 of Indian Premier League (IPL 2014) returns to India on 2nd May 2014.

After weeks of uncertainty, the schedule for the second leg of IPL 2014 has been confirmed, with India hosting the remaining 40 games from 2nd May 2014.

Earlier the board had announced the schedule of the first leg of the tournament which had 20 games being played from 16 to 30 April 2014 in UAE at three venues namely – Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

The uncertainty was because of India’s general elections, which will be held in several stages from April 7 to May 12.

There are no matches scheduled for 16th May 2014, the day when the election results will be announced, and 17th May 2014.

Ranchi will host the first match in India, between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Chennai will host the first Qualifier and the Eliminator while Mumbai will host the second qualifier and final.

Jaipur will not host any games this season, with Rajasthan Royals playing all their home games in Ahmedabad.
