In match no. 63 of Season 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2013), Kings XI Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in front of their home crowd at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to field and sent in Royal Challengers Bangalore to bat first. They posted a total of 174/5 in 20 overs. Chris Gayle scored 77 runs of 53 balls and Virat Kolhi scored 57 from 43 balls.

For Kings XI Punjab, Parvinder Awana took three wickets while Azhar Mahmood took two wickets.

Kings XI Punjab easily chased this target loosing just three wickets in 18.1 over. Adam Gilchrist scored unbeaten 85 runs of 54 balls while Azhar Mahmood scored 61 runs of 41 balls.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Zaheer Khan, Jaydev Unadkat and Muttiah Muralidharan took one wicket each.

Adam Gilchrist was named Man of the Match for his brilliant batting effort.
