In the Match 6 of Pepsi IPL 2013, Kings XI Punjab easily defeated Pune Warriors India in front of their home crowd in Pune.

Kings XI Punjab defeated Pune Warriors India by 8 wickets in a match which was totally one sided affair from the start.

Having won the toss, Pune Warriors elected to bat first but lost wickets at regular intervals and finally ended scoring the lowest total of IPL 2013 and ended their innings at 99/9 in 20 overs. Abhishek Nayar scored 25 runs and Robin Uthappa scored 19 runs.

For Kings XI Punjab, Praveen Kumar and Azhar Mahmood took 2 wickets each Ryan Harris, Parvinder Awana and Piyush Chawla took 1 wicket each.

In reply, Kings XI Punjab thrashed Pune bowlers to all corners of the ground and scored the target of 100 runs in 12.3 overs. The initial start was provided by Mandeep Singh who scored 31 of 26 balls and then the match was wrapped up by Manan Vohra who scored a brilliant 43 not out of 28 balls.

For Pune Warriors, Angelo Mathews and Rahul Sharma took 1 wicket each.
