In the Match 56 of season 6 of the Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2013), Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Pune Warriors India in front of their home crowd in Pune.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Pune Warriors India (PWI) by 46 Runs.

Having won the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders elected to bat first and put on the board a total of 152 runs in their 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Gautam Gamhir scored 50 runs of 44 balls while Ryan ten Doeschate scored 31 runs of 21 balls.

For Pune Warriors India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets, Mitchell Marsh took two wickets while Parvez Rasool took one wicket.

In reply chasing the target, once again the top order of the Pune Warriors India failed and the team got bowled out for 106 in 19.3 overs. Angelo Mathews was the top scorer with 40 runs of 28 balls and Robin Uthappa scored 31 runs of 35 balls.

For Kolkata Knight Riders, Lakshmipathy Balaji took three wickets, Iqbal Abdulla, Jacques Kallis and Sunil Narine took two wickets each while Rajat Bhatia took one wicket.

Gautam Gambhir was named Man of the Match.
