Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the team that was Champion in 2012 but faltered badly in 2013 announced its list of players retained for IPL 2014 ahead of the deadline of January 10, 2014.

The players auction for IPL 2014 will take place in Bangalore on February 12 and 13, 2014.

It was surprising that the team did not go for any one from – Brendon McCullum, Jacques Kallis, Ryan McLaren, Eoin Morgan or even Manoj Tiwary in their retention list.

By retaining only two players the team has preserved a lot of cash for spending in players auction.

The team will also enjoy two ‘right-to-match’ cards at the auction.
