The fans of Mumbai Indians who were bitterly disappointed by teams performance in UAE where the defending champions lost all of their 5 matches and after few losses in India it was almost certain that the team could not make it to the play-offs but now there is a ray of hope.

Mumbai Indians can still Qualify for IPL 2014 Play-offs :

Conditions which need to be fulfilled for Mumbai to reach IPL 2014 play-offs are -

1. Mumbai Indians have to win remaining two matches which will take them to 14 points.

2. Rajasthan Royals have to play Punjab and Mumbai. If they loose both the games they also end on 14 points.

3. Kolkata Knight Riders have two matches left. One against RCB and another against SRH. If they loose both their games then they also end up on 14 points.

4. RCB also have two games to play. One against KKR and one against CSK. They are also on 10 points and hence need to win both matches to reach 14 points.

5. SunRisers Hyderabad also have two matches to play. One against KKR and another against CSK. They also need to win both matches to reach 14 points.

Look at all this one thing looks certain that the last two teams to reach the play-offs of IPL 2014 will be decided on the last moment based on net-run-rate and it looks like most of the teams in the bottom end will up up reaching 14 points.

Now under that circumstances, Mumbai Indians have to win the remaining two games with a good margin to improve their net-run-rate and hope that teams above them loose their both the matches.
