Mohit Sharma made his first-class debut for Haryana in the 2011-12 Ranji Trophy season, and since then he has picked up 44 wickets with his medium pace, from 11 matches. In the 2012-13 Ranji Trophy season, Mohit finished with 37 wickets in eight games at 23.24.
His brilliant performance in the domestic cricket earned him his maiden IPL contract from the Chennai Super Kings team in 2013 and he proved useful for the team. He picked 20 wickets in his debut IPL season playing 15 matches.
In players auction for IPL 2014, he was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 2 Crore.
