The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is one of the venues for the IPL 2014. The stadium is located in Bangalore, Karnataka.
The ground is owned by Government of Karnataka and operated by Karnataka State Cricket Association.
It is the home of the Karnataka cricket team and the Indian Premier League’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team, as well as being a venue for Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International matches.

The ground has a capacity of 40,000 spectators.
The stadium was formerly known as Madras Cricket Club Ground or Chepauk Stadium. Built in 1916, the first match was played in this stadium on 10 February 1934.
Apart from hosting cricket matches, the stadium also hosts other musical and cultural events.
Formerly known as the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) stadium, the ground was later rechristened in tribute to Mr. M. Chinnaswamy, who had served the KSCA for four decades and was also president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from 1977–1980.
