M. A. Chidambaram Cricket Stadium – IPL 2014 Venue

Chidambaram Cricket Stadium - Chennai

The M. A. Chidambaram Stadium is one of the venues for the IPL 2014. The stadium is located in Chepauk, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The ground is owned and operated by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.

It is the home of the Tamil Nadu cricket team and the Indian Premier League’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team, as well as being a venue for Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International matches.

The ground has a capacity of 50,000 spectators.

The stadium was formerly known as Madras Cricket Club Ground or Chepauk Stadium. Built in 1916, the first match was played in this stadium on 10 February 1934.

The crowd at this stadium is known to be amongst the most appreciative in the country.
