Today Lendl Simmons scored the first century of IPL 2014, playing against Kings XI Punjab at their home ground in Mohali.
Chasing a target of 157, opener Lendl Simmons played explosively scoring unbeaten 100 runs in just 62 balls. He hit 14 boundaries and 2 sixes.
He played explosively till he reached he reached his nineties and then took a few singles and doubles to reach his HUNDRED.

Lendl Simmons single-handedly won the match for Mumbai Indians and kept their chances alive in the tournament. He was named Man of the Match for his match winning performance.
Prior to this match, the highest individual score in IPL 2014 was Glen Maxwell’s 95. In fact Glen Maxwell got out in nineties for a few times and we missed a century.
Earlier winning the toss, Mumbai Indians chose to field first and were successful in restricting Kings XI Punjab on a score of 156/8 in their 20 overs.
