Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 8 Wickets.

Having won the toss, Rajasthan Royals elected to field first and sent in Kings XI Punjab to bat in first. They posted a total of 145/6 in 20 overs. Shaun Marsh played a brilliant innings of 77 runs of 64 balls and captain Adam Gilchrist scored 42 runs of 32 balls.

For Rajasthan Royals, Kevon Cooper took three wickets while Ajit Chandila, James Faulkner and Shane Watson took one wicket each.

Rajasthan Royals comfortably chased this total loosing just two wickets in 19 overs. Ajinkya Rahane one again played well scoring 59 runs of 49 balls while Sanju Samson scored 47 runs of 33 balls.

Kevon Cooper was named Man of the Match.
