Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) defeated Pune Warriors India (PWI) by 7 Wickets.

Having won the toss, Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to field first. Pune Warriors India had a good start and ended up scoring 185 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. Aaron Finch scored 64 runs of 42 balls while in the last few overs Luke Wright scored 34 runs of 10 balls.

For Kings XI Punjab, Azhar Mahmood took two wickets while Parvinder Awana and Manpreet Gony took one wicket each.

In Reply, chasing this big score lots Adam Gilchrist in the first over itself and then lost Azhar Mahmood in the second over, but then Mandeep Singh and David Miller played brilliant innings to win the match for their team. Mandeep Singh scored unbeaten 77 of 58 balls while David Miller scored unbeaten 80 runs of 41 balls.

For Pune Warriors India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ajantha Mendis and Yuvraj Singh took one wickets each.

David Miller was named Man of the Match for his match winning innings.
