In match no. 69 of Season 6 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2013), playing at their home ground in Dharmshala, Kings XI Punjab defeated Mumbai Indians.

Having won the toss, Mumbai Indians elected to field first and sent in Kings XI Punjab to bat first. Shaun Marsh and Azhar Madmood scored 63 and 80 runs respectively and helped their team to reach a total of 183/8 in  20 overs.

For Mumbai Indians, Lasith Malinga took three wickets, while Kieron Pollard, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rishi Dhawan and Harbhajan Singh took one wicket each.

Chasing this Big score, Mumbai Indians lost wicket of Glenn Maxwell in the first over of the match and under pressure kept on loosing wickets at regular intervals and at the end reach 133/9 in 19.1 overs. Dhawal Kulkarni did not come to bat as he suffered a strain while bowling.

For Kings XI Punjab, Azhar Mahmood, Sandeep Sharma and Piyush Chawla took two wickets each while Praveen Kumar, Parvinder Awana and Adam Gilchrist took one wicket each.
