He is a Left-arm medium fast bowler who made quite an impression with a match-winning spell of 13 for 103 against West Indies A on first-class debut in June 2010.
In IPL, he played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2010, IPL 2011 and IPL 2012. In these three seasons he played 11 matches for the team in which he took 10 wickets at an average of 26.70.
In the players auction for IPL 2013 he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore team for US $ 525,000 and had a good season with RCB team. Playing in 13 matches last season, he took 13 wickets at an average of 28.46.
In the players auction for IPL 2014, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs. 2.8 Crores.
