Finally the suspense about the venue of the Season 7 of India Premier League (IPL 2014) is over.

Yesterday BCCI took a decision to shift the first half of the tournament to United Arab Emirates (UAE). IPL 2014 will start on 16 April 2014 in Dubai and the tournament will return to India on 13 May.

This decision came after BCCI got a security clearance from the union home ministry to hold the IPL matches in India after May 12 (the last day of voting).

As a result, around 60 per cent of the matches would be played in UAE, a BCCI source told mid-day.

Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will be the three venues that will hot the matches of IPL 2014.

It was also confirmed that the final of the tournament will take place on June 1 in Mumbai.

A final and detailed itenarary is likely to be declared in a couple of days.
