Kings XI Punjab fast bowler Ryan Harris has been ruled out of the remaining part of the Indian Premier League 2013 and has now returned home.

On Friday, Cricket Australia (CA) announced that Ryan Harris has an Achilles injury. Commenting on Harris’ injury, CA’s Chief Medical Officer Justin Paoloni said that Ryan Harris has returned home from IPL duties with Kings XI Punjab with a left Achilles tendon injury.

“Scans showed the injury was not serious and he will undergo intensive rehabilitation with the aim of him being available to take part in the Australia A Series and we expect he will be fit to play in the Ashes.” he added further.

Before getting injured, Ryan Harris played three games for Kings XI Punjab this season in which he scored two runs and took one wicket.
