In IPL 2012, Murali Vijay of Chennai Super Kings became the first Indian cricketer to score two IPL centuries.

Apart from that in IPL 2012, 22,453 runs were scored, 6241 bot balls were bowled and 859 wickets fell.

732 super sixes were hit and the longest of them was 112 m.

The fastest ball during the tournament was of speed 154.40 KPH.

6 centuries were hit and 96 half centuries were hit in the IPL 2012 season.

The IPL 2012 edition was the most competitive season of which produced many nail biting finishes. In the fifth season of IPL, there were 19 matches whch produced results in the last over, and a couple of them produced results in the last ball.
