On New Year’s Day of 2014, New Zealand batsman Corey Anderson broke a 17 year old record to become the cricketer to have scored the fastest century in ODI cricket or rather call it, fastest century in any format of international cricket.
Playing against West Indies, he scored his ton in just 36 balls breaking Shahid Afridi’s record of scoring a century in 37 deliveries in 1996 against Sri Lanka.
Corey Anderson smashed 14 sixes in his innings of 131 not out in only 47 deliveries.
