In the second match of the season 7 of Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2014), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Delhi Daredevils (DD) by 8 Wickets.
Having won the toss at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium in Sharjah, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and captain Virat Kohli sent Delhi Daredevils into the batting. Dinesh Karthik captained the Delhi Daredevils team in absence of injured Kevin Pietersen.
Delhi had a poor start and lost two wickets early. They were 16/2 in 3.3 overs.

JP Duminy and Ross Taylor steadied the ship and with some massive hitting at the end managed to get a respectable total on the board.
The team ended their 20 overs with a score of 145/4. JP Duminy scored unbeaten 67 of 48 balls while Ross Taylor scored unbeaten 43 of 39 balls.
For Royal Challengers Bangalore Mitchell Starc, Albie Morkel, Varun Aaron and Yuzvendra Chahal – all picked up one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Royal Challengers Bangalore had a shaky start, opener Nic Maddinson making his IPL debut in absence of injured Chris Gayle got out in the second over. Parthiv Patel steadied the ship and scored some quick runs before getting out for 37 runs.
Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli sealed the match for Royal Challengers Bangalore. They chased the target with 3 overs to spare, loosing 2 wickets.
Vuvraj Singh scored a brilliant unbeaten 52 of just 29 balls hitting five sixes in his innings while Virat Kohli scored unbeaten 49 runs from 38 balls.
For Delhi Daredevils, Mohammed Shami and Rahul Sharma took one wicket each.
Yuzvendra Chahal was declared as Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling spell. This man has won man of the match award playing just 2nd IPL match of his career.
