In the match no. 50 of the season 7 of Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2014), SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 Wickets.
Having won the toss at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi, SunRisers Hyderabad elected to field first.
Chennai Super Kings had a good start with both openers playing well but Francois du Plessis got out after scoring 19 runs. Dwayne Smith made a quick fire 47 of just 28 balls. Suresh Raina got out cheaply today but then David Hussey and MS Dhoni took the innings further, both scoring half centuries. Hussey made unbeaten 50 of just 33 balls while Dhoni made unbeaten 57 of just 41 balls. In the end Chennai Super Kings reached a score of 185/3 in their 20 overs.

For SunRisers Hyderabad, Karan Sharma picked up two wickets.
Chasing this mammoth total, SunRisers Hyderabad had the best of the starts to this season scoring at a brisk rate. They made 100 runs in first 10 overs without loosing a wicket. David Warner made a quick fire 90 of just 45 balls. After Warner got out, Shikhar Dhawan exploded scoring unbeaten 64 of 50 balls. In the end SunRisers Hyderabad achieved the target in the last over loosing 4 wickets.
For Chennai Super Kings, John Hastings, Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina picked up one wicket each.
Winning this match, SRH keep their Playoff hopes alive with a very comprehensive performance against a CSK side who are starting to look out of sorts.
David Warner was named the Man Of The Match for his brilliant batting performance in the match.
