CSK vs RCB IPL 2013 Match 16 Result : Chennai beat Bangalore by 4 Wickets

In the Match 16 of season 6 of the Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2013), playing at their home ground, Chennai Super Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore Team in a match that went down to the wire and had all twists and turns.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 4 Wickets.

Needing 2 runs from 1 ball, RP Singh balls, batsman hits and gets caught… Royal Challengers Bangalore start to celebrate before umpire calls it a no-ball and Chennai Super Kings Win the match…..

Having won the toss, Dhoni elected to field first and sent Royal Challengers Bangalore to bat. RCB lost their Chris Gayle early but Virat Kolhi and Ab de Villiers scored half centuries hitting 58 and 64 and the team reached a score of 165/6 in 20 overs.

For Chennai Super Kings, Chris Morris took three wickets while Dirk Nannes, R Ashwin and Dwayne Bravo took one wicket each.

In Reply, Chennai Super Kings lost few wickets early were under severe pressure and never look like they could win the match. But then Suresh Raina, S Badrinath and Dhoni chipped in good contributions to take the game forward and at the end with required run rate mounting up, it needed a cameo from Ravindra Jadeja to win the match for his team. He scored 38 of 20 balls.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore, Ravi Rampaul took three wickets, Syed Mohammad took two wickets and Vinay Kumar took one wicket.

We can surely say that RP Singh would always remember this match. It could be the costliest no ball of his career.
