CSK vs KKR IPL 2013 Match 38 Result : Chennai beat Kolkata by 14 Runs

In the Match 38 of season 6 of the Indian Premier League (Pepsi IPL 2013), playing at their home ground in Chennai, Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 14 Runs.

Having won the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders elected to field first and sent in Chennai Super Kings to Bat in first. They posted a total of 200/3 in 20 overs thanks to brilliant innings of Michael Hussey who scored 95 runs of 59 balls. Suresh Raina scored handy 44 runs of 25 balls and Wriddhiman Saha scored 39 runs.

For Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunil Narine and Rajat Bhatia took one wicket each.

In reply, Kolkata played well but in the end lost few wickets and fell short of the target. They ended their innings on 186/4 in 20 overs. Manvinder Bisla scored 92 runs of 61 balls. At at the end Eoin Morgan scored 32 of 22 balls but failed to provided the firepower needed at the end to secure the match for his team. Credit should be also given to Chris Morris who bowled a brilliant last over of the match where in he just gave 4 runs.

For Chennai Super Kings, Mohit Sharma, Chris Morris and Dwayne Bravo took one wicket each.

Michael Hussey was named Man of the Match for his brilliant 95 run innings.
