Breaking News of the moment comes from the IPL Season 6 again as S. Sreesanth and two other players Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandilia of Rajasthan Royals have been arrested by the Delhi Police on charges of spot fixing in IPL.

A case has been registered at the Marine Drive police station, Mumbai, under sections 420, which deals with cheating, and 120 (b), which deals with criminal conspiracy, of the Indian Penal Code.

Ankeet Chavan is a 27 year old cricketer from Mumbai who plays for Mumbai in Indian domestic cricket. He is said to be an all-rounder who is a left-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He also plays for Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to latest reports on TV channels like Aaj Tak, NDTV, ABP Star News, Zee News, etc these players were arrested today morning.

Apart from them, police has also arrested seven bookies including three from Delhi.

Police say that spot fixing took place in IPL matches of Rajasthan Royals played on 9th and 15th May 2013.

According to Police, Ankeet Chavan was promised Rs 60 lakh to give away 14 runs in yesterday’s match against Mumbai Indians.
