AB De Villiers is a delightfully brutal batsman, a more than decent wicket-keeper and an agile fielder. There are very few things (if any) that he cannot do on a cricket field, infact he has also has two Test wickets in his cricketing career.

He plays the first three seasons of the IPL (2008, 2009 and 2010) for the Delhi Daredevils team and was a key player in the Delhi Daredevils’ middle order.
In the players auction for IPL 2011, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for US $1.1 million. Since then he has been playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
AB De Villiers is known for his role of a finisher, who snatches wins out of the jaws of defeat for his team in many matches.
Ahead of the players auction for IPL 2014, he was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore team for Rs. 7.5 Crores.
