The stadium is located in the Dubai Sports City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is one of three important cricket venue of UAE for International matches.

The ground has a capacity of 25,000 spectators, but is expandable to 30,000 spectators.
This stadium was established in 2009. The first ODI cricket match played in this ground was between Australia and Pakistan on April 22, 2009 and it was won by Pakistan.
